We adored the hotel's convenient location right on the highway, making it easy to reach and close to the town center. Cleanliness was impeccable, making us feel comfortable and at ease throughout our stay. The hotel facilities were top-notch, from the well-maintained parking to the reliable transportation services. In just half an hour, we found ourselves strolling along the beautiful beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the ocean breeze. The breakfast served at the hotel's restaurant was delicious, providing a perfect start to our days. Moreover, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met, providing exceptional service.
Nothing! It is perfect.

My wife and I are recently married and went to Tulum on our honeymoon! From the moment that we arrived, we received gracious, attentive and warm service and hospitality. We were greeting with a smile and frosty margaritas to enjoy on the deck of our beautiful beachfront cabaña. Everything about our stay here was phenomenal! El Mestizo is located on the most beautiful, secluded portion of Tulum, the property is lovely and the food delicious. We loved our stay here so much that we actually modified our plans so as to stay more time at El Mestizo. We also had the opportunity to get to know the staff quite well and thoroughly enjoyed our thoughtful conversations and friendly interactions. We highly recommend El Mestizo to anyone looking for a 5-star experience in Tulum! Muchas gracias El Mestizo! Les echamos de menos ya! :)

We had a cabana right on the beach with amazing views of the sunrise, coconut trees and hammocks to relax in. Really friendly staff and even a margherita on arrival. Lovely romantic getaway.
Our original booking was for a garden view room. We were lucky to get an upgrade as while the beach side rooms are absolutely amazing the garden view room felt a little stifling. It is worth paying the extra!

During my Easter break, I had a pleasant stay at a small but well-maintained hotel. the staff was friendly and offered great advice on local activities. What I loved most was the delicious food served at the hotel restaurant. the rooms were modern and comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area.
The hotel was slightly overpriced compared to other options in the area. the amenities in the room were basic, and there was no outside shower to rinse off after a day at the beach.

The best location and hotel in Tulum. We stayed for almost a week and we loved everything. For those who want really beach, ocean, sun on your holiday, you are 100% right with this hotel. One of the best beaches in the world right infront of your house with private sunning places. Don´t expecpt 5star room service and accessories, but you get 100 % the greatest mexican hospitality and Location and your own private house with ocean sounds to get a good sleep. The staff will advise you about everything to do in and around Tulum. The location and the houses are much worth more what you pay for ! On our 4 week honeymoon trip, which included, St. Martin, Saint Barths, Turks & Caicos, Cuba, Cancun, Riviera Maya, this was one of our favourits and we can really recommend you to go there. Book yourself and check it out !

The hotel is located right on the highway next to a scrapyard, but it's a short walk to the town of Tulum and a quick bike ride to the beach. the staff is friendly and the room is spacious and well equipped. the breakfast is delicious with fresh fruit and coffee. Bicycles are available for free, allowing guests to reach the beautiful beaches in just half an hour.
The room amenities could be improved, as there was no outside shower to wash off the sand.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location was absolutely stunning, nestled close to the town center yet far enough to provide a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. The restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, and the continental breakfast was a great way to start our day. The bar/lounge area was a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a refreshing drink. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
We would definitely recommend this place to our friends.

We got a free upgrade to beach cabanas due to low season. Perfect setting on the Caribbean Sea. Nicest stretch of beach for at least 1 km to each side. Beach towels, beach bag, toiletries and sun beds provided (may not be enough in high season). Beach was cleaned every morning by resort staff! Reception Wifi reached as far as the hammock area under the palm trees!
Restaurant too expensive to permit onsite breakfast or dinner and very limited choice due to low season! We drove to Tulum village (10 km) every evening.

It was on a beautiful beach at Tulum. The rooms were clean and pretty, with nice touches like fresh plants/flowers every day, and organic toiletries provided. There were sun loungers and bar service on the beach if requested.
The main problem was that we did not get the room we booked, and they said there was no such room at the hotel and there must have been a mistake on Booked.net. We booked a family suite, described as having two separate bedrooms, each containing two queen size beds, and a private bathroom, as we wanted a bit of luxury for the last few days of our holiday. What we got was a beachfront bungalow with one double and one single, not worth the money we paid for it (this hotel cost four or five times as much as most of the other hotels we stayed in). The receptionist did then throw in continental breakfast, but this was to the value of around £10 per night so it wasn't much of a refund really. Had it not been for the two separate rooms on offer, we wouldn't have booked this hotel. The location on the beach is great, but it is a long way down the road towards the reserve, away from town, so wouldn't be much good if you didn't have a car. The restaurant was expensive and one of the worst meals we had in Mexico - we got a taxi somewhere else the next night.

Great spot for nature lovers & privacy seekers alike. Loved the quietness of the location despite the vicinity of the busy tourist areas. Appreciated the beautiful surrounding gardens and free bikes that made exploring easy.
The room was quite sparse, and the floors were dirty. There was little attention to detail paid to the amenities of the room.

Great beach Very friendly staff
Very expensive for what it is (fairly rustic cabanas) - you can get the same for much less elsewhere in Tulum Awful breakfast Kitchen fairly basic

the location was dreamy (if you want to be in an absolutely nature friendly, ecological environment, in the middle of the jungle but still with a comfortable, very clean and nice design hotel) and the hotel staff were very friendly and extremely helpful! it felt like a family there!
they could have a nicer bar lounge
